Sickness bug hits Butlins
Up to 80 people are believed to have caught the diarrhoea and vomiting bug norovirus during their stay at the popular family resort.
Some of the people infected were forced to abandon their holidays while others are too ill to leave. They have been confined to their rooms and advised and keep away from public areas to avoid spreading the virus.

Butlin's spokesman, Tom Cassidy, said: "These people have all the symptoms of norovirus, which is fairly common. Some of the people affected have already gone home.
"Those who have stayed have been asked to stay in their accommodation away from public areas to avoid spreading the infection. We have advised them to dirnk plenty of fluids which Butlins is supplying."
The infection control team at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester has been informed.
