From Bexhill with love comes new art show
Bexhill In Love is next weekend on Saturday February 6 and Sunday February 7 at 2pm.
This is the latest project by art group Hallucinating Angels which pitched a tent on Bexhill sea front and talked to people on camera about what they love. Residents and visitors talked about their love - of people, places, creatures, activities and precious things. Director Frances Viner said: “Those interviews were edited together into a film and also inspired a live performance. The company’s enthusiasm has led to this ‘transfer’ with new material so even if people saw Bexhill In Love they would still enjoy this.”
The film was first shown at the DLWP studio in November.

Hallucinating Angels is a company of artists who also worked together on We Are For Sale and Band Of Gold. Both of these productions were part of an on-going residency at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. The focus of their theatre and film work is the lives and stories of local people and they aim to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary and reveal a community to itself.
