“We stuck at it and deserved a draw” - Crawley Town boss John Yems content with point against a side 'fighting for their lives'
Crawley fell behind, after Walsall’s Emmanuel Osadebe converted from the spot, but battled hard to grab a late equaliser in a match that finished 1-1.
“We created some good chances,” said John Yems. “[But], credit to Walsall they’ve come here and had a right go at us.

“I’d be a bit gutted, if I was in their shoes [but] that’s what footballs all about.
“We kept going. We won’t give in. And the end of it, I think we deserved a draw.”

For a side with a low budget and one that has dealt with a Covid outbreak - plus the sale of their top scorer - in January, it is impressive that the Reds are still sitting comfortably in the top half.
Despite being six points of the play-offs, Yems wants to keep the promotion talk to a minimum and says we need to be “realistic”.
“We’re not getting carried away with this promotion talk,” he explained. “There’s a lot of things to be decided.
