Two Sussex football clubs announce merger
The clubs issued a joint statement which outlined where the new club will operate in the leagues system.
It said: "Following the ongoing collaboration between Ringmer Football Club and AFC Ringmer over the past few years, with the imminent completion of the new clubhouse and 3G pitch at the Kings Academy we have now effectively completed a merger between the two clubs and as such adopted Ringmer AFC as the new club title.

Hide Ad"The new club badge incorporates the wind turbine that overlooks the new ground, the dates that Ringmer FC and AFC Ringmer were formed, together with 2020 to signify the unification of the two clubs.
"Ringmer AFC will operate three senior sides and a vets' side in the Mid Sussex League for 2020-21 alongside a newly formed under-18 side and women's side.
"Ringmer AFC is open to new players to play at all levels. Current circumstances pending, the intention is to start pre-season training on Thursday, July 2, and will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings ongoing.
