Big race entries hit 1,000 mark

Entries for the 30th Hastings Half Marathon have soared past the 1,000 mark a month ahead of schedule.

Public interest in the Hastings Lions Club-organised 13.1-mile event seems to be greater than ever ahead of the landmark occasion on Sunday March 23, 2014.

A select band of 16 runners have taken part in all of the previous Hastings Half Marathons and have signed up to continue that proud ever-present record next spring.
