Women assaulted in St Georges Day bust up
The argument, which involved several people, took place at around 11.30pm on St George's Day (Friday 23 April) outside the Bell pub, Church Street.
Police reports say one of the victims, a 36-year-old local woman, was hit in the head with a glass object, possibly a bottle, and was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital with minor injuries to the face and hands.

Hide AdThe assault resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) who was subsequently released on bail until June 11.
A 34-year-old local woman was also pushed and hit during the argument and a 38-year-old man from Bexhill was arrested on suspicion of Actual Bodily Harm (ABH) and released on bail until June 11.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Detective Constable Mark Waughman said: "As this is an isolated and unusual incident on St George's Day it is particularly memorable. If you were outside the Bell pub at around 11.30pm and witnessed the argument and assault take place, please contact us immediately."
