Indeed, the grisly murder of the caddish, sadistic trigger-happy Lord of the Manor Richard Warwick, who played a most convincing corpse throughout the show, seemed to have many enemies and the finger of suspicion fell on an array of prime suspects.
It could have been any member of his family, friends of staff who dunnit.

Our "man of the match" would have gone to Constable Cadwallader, fresh from the valleys, who added a touch of humour in his unwavering Welsh accent, ably assisting Inspector Thomas and, of course, finally getting his man – or did he?
Scenery, props, costumes, as usual – spot on.
