It’s solar, so good
Maybe you could go all out for this and fit them on available buildings including schools, hospitals, etc., and not just public buildings, in fact, any roofs that point in a southerly direction.
Perhaps our MPs could get involved, whatever their political party, and convince David Cameron that local authorities should be allocated money for this purpose, instead of giving it to the electricity companies in subsidies.

This area could take the lead in renewable energy from solar panels. No doubt there will be people who ask what happens when the sun doesn’t shine? Well the answer to this is, what happens when there’s no wind?
