Netball team on target for hospice

The club trains on a Saturday at Rye, Freedom Leisure and play in the Hastings and District Netball League.
Rye Netball club was set up in 2009 as a fun, ‘ladies returning to netball session’ by Joolz Hunt.

Hide AdAfter a slow start, the club increased in numbers and Joolz then assisted with the establishment of the Hastings District Netball League so that her new club, with the many others that started around the same time, could play in a local league.
Rye is a club for mixed abilities and has players from age 14 who practice every Saturday afternoon from 3-4.30pm at the Rye Sports Centre. Cost is £4.50 per session ( under 18’s £2). It has two teams playing in the Hastings League, the Mermaids and the Belles, with the Mermaids also playing in the Ashford League.
