Busiest Christmas Eve ever
Waterstones, on the Carfax, told The County Times it had a good and busy Christmas.
Kurde Atfield, store manager, said: “We had a strong festive period, our sales were up on the previous year, and thanks to Horsham’s last-minute shoppers we had our busiest Christmas Eve ever.”

Hide AdPopular sections included crafts and natural history, cookbooks, biographies and books about the local area, in particular ‘The Little Book of Sussex’.
This news of good sales comes in the week where the bookseller revealed a new logo for the company.
Signs for the store will be changed to include the new font with a capital W and controversially no longer features an apostrophe.
James Daunt, managing director of Waterstones (or should that be Waterstones’ managing director) said: “Waterstones without an apostrophe is, in a digital world of URLs and email addresses, a more versatile and practical spelling.

The new design and spelling will be rolled out gradually.
